six years on the ground

impact

Before launching our digital platform, SEJA spent six years embedded in communities—co‑designing programmes, funding grassroots projects, and building local capacity. Here’s what we achieved together.

  • Local leaders equipped with the tools, training, and resources to grow their reach and turn grassroots passion into sustainable community institutions.

  • Funding enabling grassroots initiatives to scale impact, create jobs, strengthen local economies, and boost community resilience.

  • Community members (largely children and youth) engaged in safe community spaces, education, sport, and arts - fostering belonging, opportunity, and brighter futures.

  • On average local SEJA change-makers increase impact hours and number of people impacted by more than 40% in the first 12 months of a SEJA collaboration.

  • Global companies like DHL, Rexona, Carona, and Unilever have invested directly into SEJA‑vetted changemakers, showing corporate desire in local leadership and trust in the SEJA model.
